The Virginia Tech Community Literacy Corps is a federal workstudy based program that works with local elementary schools to help encourage development in both reading and mathematics. The Literacy Corps is a student-run program; the success of the Literacy Corps relies solely on Virginia Tech students to become tutors and site leaders. Prospective Literacy Corps Tutors & Site Leaders
The Literacy Corps is a federal workstudy based program. All interested applicants must have completed a FASFA and have been awarded federal workstudy in order to be considered for employment. If you have any questions about your financial aid award, please use HokieSpa or contact the financial aid office for further assistance.
All interested applicants should download, complete, and bring a completed application to his or her interview. Please submit an email to literacy@vt.edu with your three most favorable interview times, your resume, and specify the position for which you are applying.
